SHOCKED MOVE: PNG Hunters SP Anthony Worot shocked his PNG teammates with an unexpected announcement about his Departure, leaving fans and players in Shockwaves due to…

As of January 17, 2025, there have been no official announcements regarding Anthony Worot’s departure from the Papua New Guinea (PNG) Hunters. In fact, recent developments indicate his continued involvement with the team.

Anthony Worot, a prop forward born on December 12, 1995, in East New Britain and West New Britain, PNG, has been a significant contributor to the Hunters since his debut on April 3, 2022, against the Brisbane Tigers. Over his tenure, he has made 19 appearances, including 16 in the 2024 season.

In preparation for the 2025 season, the PNG Hunters commenced their preseason training on November 12, 2024, under the leadership of Head Coach Paul Aiton. The training sessions aim to build upon the team’s successful 2024 season, where they reached the preliminary finals.

The Hunters have also announced their 30-man squad for the 2024 season, which includes Anthony Worot, indicating his ongoing role within the team.

Given these developments, any reports suggesting Anthony Worot’s departure from the PNG Hunters appear to be unfounded. Both Worot and the organization seem committed to continuing their partnership into the upcoming season.
