John Force Racing (JFR) has announced a multi-year extension with Old World Industries, the parent company of PEAK Antifreeze and Coolant, ensuring continued sponsorship for the team’s Funny Car operations. This agreement includes Jack Beckman’s full-time return to the NHRA circuit in 2025, marking his first full season since 2020.
Beckman, a seasoned driver with 37 NHRA national event wins, stepped in for team founder John Force following Force’s serious crash in June 2024, which resulted in a traumatic brain injury. During Force’s recovery, Beckman secured two victories and reached the final rounds three times, concluding the season as the runner-up in the series points, just behind teammate Austin Prock.
John Force, a legendary figure in drag racing, has expressed his eagerness to return to the sport he loves. While he continues to undergo therapy, Force stated, “I’ve still got a lot of things I want to do, so I don’t want anybody thinking they’ve seen the last of John Force.” He hinted at providing more updates after the holidays, suggesting a potential return to racing in the future.
Brian Bohlander, Director of Sports Marketing at Old World Industries, expressed enthusiasm about Beckman’s return, stating, “We’re excited to have John, Jack, and the entire JFR organization representing the PEAK and BlueDEF brands for years to come. Jack has done a tremendous job, on and off the track, and has earned this opportunity to race full time for the championship.”
Beckman, a U.S. Air Force veteran and cancer survivor, is also known for his role as an instructor at Frank Hawley’s Drag Racing School, where he has trained over 7,000 students. Expressing his excitement about the upcoming season, Beckman said, “I am thrilled to continue a partnership with PEAK and BlueDEF and look forward to returning to JFR in 2025.”
