Announcement: Jethro Tull Announces New Album and Tour Dates Following….

Legendary progressive rock band Jethro Tull has announced the release of their 24th studio album, *Curious Ruminant*, scheduled to debut on March 7, 2025. This album follows their recent releases, *The Zealot Gene* (2022) and *RökFlöte* (2023), marking a prolific period for the band. ci

 

*Curious Ruminant* comprises nine new tracks, ranging from concise pieces of two and a half minutes to an ambitious 17-minute composition, showcasing the band’s dynamic range and musical versatility. The album features contributions from both current and former members, including:

 

– **Ian Anderson**: Flutes, vocals, acoustic guitar, tenor guitar, mandolin, and various other instruments.

– **David Goodier**: Bass guitar.

– **John O’Hara**: Piano, keyboards, accordion.

– **Scott Hammond**: Drums.

– **Jack Clark**: Electric guitar, making his recording debut with the band.

 

Additionally, former keyboardist Andrew Giddings and drummer James Duncan have lent their talents to this project.

 

To coincide with the album announcement, Jethro Tull has released the title track, “Curious Ruminant,” accompanied by a surreal animated music video directed by Costin Chioreanu, who has previously collaborated with the band.

 

In support of the new album, the band has unveiled an extensive tour schedule for 2025, covering multiple countries. The tour kicks off on April 2, 2025, at Kulttuuritalo in Helsinki, Finland, and includes performances in cities such as:
