Drew Allar injury update: Penn State star QB likely to be game-time decision for marquee clash vs. Ohio State - CBSSports.com

Penn State quarterback Drew Allar is addressing the aftermath of the Nittany Lions’ tough loss to Ohio State, as well as the team’s aspirations for the rest of the season. Allar, who showed flashes of brilliance against the Buckeyes, spoke candidly about the disappointment of falling short in a highly anticipated matchup.

“It’s tough, especially when we had opportunities in the game,” Allar said. “But we’ve got to move forward and focus on what’s ahead. There’s still a lot to play for, and we can’t let this define us.”

The loss dropped Penn State to 7-1, but the Nittany Lions still remain in contention for a spot in the College Football Playoff (CFP). Despite the setback, Allar believes his team can recover and secure a playoff berth if they continue to improve each week. “We’ve got to take it one game at a time. We’ve got a talented group, and I know we can keep pushing toward our goals,” he added.

Looking ahead, Allar also reflected on the upcoming White Out game, one of the most electric atmospheres in college football. “There’s nothing like playing in front of our fans under the lights at Beaver Stadium. It’s special. We’ve got to use that energy to fuel us,” he said.

As for the CFP rankings, which are expected to be released in the coming weeks, Allar remains optimistic. “We’re just focused on controlling what we can control. We know if we keep winning, everything else will fall into place.”

The Nittany Lions are set to face off against a series of tough opponents in the coming weeks, but Allar’s leadership and perspective have the team poised for a strong finish to the season.
